Morning bluessssssssssss..........

As the sun appeared on the horizon, a light breeze blew across the trees. A dead leaf got de-attached and swayed to and fro as it came down slowly. It dropped down on another leaf. Another breeze lifted the leaf and it became free again as it continued its descent. The leaf dropped on the ground. The cat opened its eye a bit on hearing the sound and looked at the direction of the leaf. On confirming that there was no imminent danger, it closed its eyes again.

Heyoooooooooo............Heyooooooooooooooo........... the alarm rang from my mobile. I suddenly snapped out of my dream and cursed the mobile. I searched for the mobile with my eyes shut and fumbled with it to shut the alarm down. I tried to remember what i was dreaming, when the buzzing of the mosquito near my right ear disturbed me. I swatted the mosquito and pulled the covers over my head. It felt cosy and i attempted to recall the dream again, but the mosquito was back again. I pushed back the covers and swatted near my ear to allow the mosquito to get out. I then opened my eyes a wee bit. Light was streaming in through the closed windows, illuminating the path of millions of dust particles that were suspended in the air. It was still cold and so I pulled back the covers over my head and again attempted to recall the dream.

Heyooooooooooooo........... Heyooooooooooooo.............. I put out my hand again to stop the alarm. Damn snooze mode. I couldn't sleep anymore. I laid down like a baby in the mother's womb with my eyes closed and listened to the sound of the fan whirring and the sound of the motor in the next house. I wanted to get up to pee, but it felt so comfortable under the covers that I just couldn't. Meanwhile I heard the thud of the newspaper as it fell on the porch. I lay still for a few more seconds and then took the mobile to look at the time.

‘Still time for a small nap’, I thought and closed my eyes. I opened my eyes again. I seem to have lost that sleep. I took the mobile again and saw that there were two sms’es. One that had proof that I was a fool, which I instantly deleted and the other came from a cute girl I knew. The message was similar to the earlier one, but I decided to keep it.

I put on some music on my mobile and listened to it as I closed my eyes, thinking about the work in the branch today, IdbiFederal, Mutual Funds………………….zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz……

I woke up with a startle and looked at the time on my mobile

9.40……………… Damn
